CE addresses concerns over extradition bill

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government will continue to communicate with the public to allay concerns on the proposed amendments to the city’s extradition laws, says Chief Executive Carrie Lam. She said additional human rights safeguards would be legally binding, which resemble very closely the international standards and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights minimum guarantees.
